Lacing is a great way for your child(ren) to build fine motor skills. Fine motor activities help strengthen the muscles that children use to grip a pencil and write.
To create this tool you will need to:
- Print and cut out these shape cards on cardstock.
- Use a hole punch and add a few holes along the edges of each shape.
- Attach a piece of yarn or a shoelace to one of the holes with a knot.
- Allow your child to explore and practice lacing around the shape card.
