The language immersion landscape was very different in Arizona when I first opened the school in the back of a church, most people did not know about language immersion, or in Arizona, really didn't care. Things have changed now, language immersion schools are growing fast all over the country. Parents are realizing that giving their children an advantage, by developing them as global citizens with global languages, will be the key to their success. The world is changing, and providing them with Mandarin and Spanish language fluency will give them an opportunity to communicate with more than half of the world's population and compete for global employment.
Adding a Montessori program to the school was just a natural, next evolutionary step, for the school. I believe that all our children should be taught using their individual learning styles and this gives us an opportunity to serve all children.
Our Montessori program is dynamic. It enables the teacher to deal with each child individually teaching them in Spanish, English and Mandarin and thus guide her according to her individual requirements. Each child works at her own pace, the quick child is not held back by the slow.
The Montessori method develops the whole personality of the child, not merely her intellectual faculties but also her powers of deliberation, initiative, and independent choice, with their emotional complements. By living as a free member in a real social community, the child is trained in those fundamental social qualities, which form the basis of good citizenship.
I believe that adding a Montessori component to Beibei Amigos will greatly increase the opportunities for our children. If you are interested in this program or our traditional language immersion program feel free to email or call me.
